Our Avionics Techs are responsible for constructing, maintaining, and repairing all machinery and aircraft. Your duties will include monitoring inventory, inspecting aircraft, and assembling components. An expertise knowledge of mechanic’s tools, service, and diagnostic equipment is a must. Our ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, with excellent communication, and customer service skills.
Prior military personnel preferred!
Tasks include:
- Inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing of aircraft in accordance with FARs, manufacturer’s specifications, and company procedures
- Maintain a clean workspace and environment
- Complete and expedite all documentations as directed by lead mechanic
- Test avionics equipment under simulated or actual operating conditions to determine performance and airworthiness
- Responsible for safeguarding and maintaining company assets
- Maintain all paperwork in accordance with company policy and procedures as well as FARs
- Maintain personal training and readiness to perform assigned tasks
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of blueprints, manuals, and technical writings to be able to perform avionics repairs and installation
- Extensive knowledge of avionics repair and installation, making and repairing sheet metal, fiberglass, and composite parts
- Complete knowledge of the necessary parts, tools, and equipment required to perform job
- Analyzing and problem solving to be able to repair avionics
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Basic knowledge of Corridor System (preferred)
Requirements
- At least 3 years of avionics experience required
- 2 years of secondary education in aviation or avionics related field,
- Repairman certification preferred
- IA preferred
